When can I apply?

Applications for each cycle open 6 weeks before the deadlines mentioned above

Where do I apply?

When will I be notified of the results?

  • All applicants are notified within 4 weeks after the deadline.

When and how will I receive my scholarships?

  • Awards won’t be disbursed until close to the start of your study abroad program (so keep in mind that you will have to pay fees/deposits/airplane tickets out-of-pocket).
  • If you are notified that your award comes in the form of a tuition waiver, then your tuition bill (for the term you’re going abroad) will be lowered by the award amount. If your tuition bill arrives before the scholarship is disburse, then you need to pay that bill and the tuition waiver will be issued as a refund into your student account. If a credit card was used, the card would be credited. Usually these processes take about a month.
  • If you are notified that you won a scholarship, it will be awarded directly into your student account

Initial out-of-pocket costs

Program fees are always due prior to departure to cover in advance costs that faculty must make. If you need alternative ways to help pay your upfront costs, we strongly suggest contacting the Financial Aid Office. They can advise you on Bridge Loans, Parent Plus Loans, Private Educational Loans etc.

Notify the Global Education office if ...

  • Your scholarship situation changes. Failure to do so may result in delaying the release of your aid, not receiving aid, or going into repayment
  • You have withdrawn from your study abroad program.
